On Windows 7, no programs will start after scan on PC Tools Internet Security 2011?

I just downloaded PC Tools Internet Security 2011 on Windows 7 64 bit. The first scan, an “Intelli-Scan,” found several infections and threats and asked me to remove them, which I approved. Right afterwards, all programs aside from Sticky Notes, Windows Explorer, Calculator and any games originating on the computer (Solitaire, Freecell, Minesweeper) on my computer are unable to start. For most programs, a message will show: “The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application.

Chosen Answer:

It should have put them in quarantine, go into quarantine, and restore all items, then install, and run a full scan with MBAM.

Assuming you can open pc tools. it should be active, therefore able to open.
