is iantivirus from pc tools a good antivirus for the mac? or is it junk?

 

 

so far it is the only free one i can find with real time protection.

what antivirus tool are you referring to? is it spyware doctor? if thats it, yes its good but you cant clean with the free version. There are several free antivirus for windows which are excellent choices but i cant say if its ok for mac

    You don’t need real time protection, that will just make your computer slower. Avast or clamav should be fine. Mac is somewhat inherently less susceptible, so you should only be scanning files that could potentially have viruses, realtime protection is overkill.

    JUNK use AVAST for mac. there is an avast antivirus for linux / mac and windows. :) enjoy.
